Most of my pet costume photos come from other people. That’s because my own attempts are dismal. Once in a while someone gets inspired and we end up with a few good ones.

Charlie & Hamish, our two amazing Shetland Sheep, had a fabulous birthday this year. They were spoiled rotten with attention all day long and now they expect every day to be a thrilling, action-packed adventure.

Everybody around here has been on their best behavior out of respect for the Farm Manager. She’s always been short, but she’s short-handed now, too.

We were stunned to see the Farm Manager approach the aviary this morning. She usually staggers out in the “morning” but today it wasn’t much past dawn. We weren’t sure she even existed that time of day.

Daily Special – Charlie and Hamish are Two!

Charlie & Hamish had birthdays last week! Hamish was two on Wednesday and Charlie was two on Friday. This generates quizzical looks because everyone assumes they are brothers. They were born on the same farm to different parents but they were raised together. They think they are brothers, so let’s not tell them, okay?
